From Alyeska to Portage and then north on the George Parks highway, my journey to Denali always takes me through some great landscapes, amazing in that they would easily be a national park anywhere else. This early September an early snow cloaked the Alaskan range and Takeetna mountains in heavy snow, adding a bit more drama to the drive.
