Winter's Grace   Shenandoah National Park

One of the most magical and visited places in Shenandoah National Park is aptly named Big Meadows. Visitors love the deer and baby fawn of early summer, the colors of fall, the vibrancy of spring's green. But for me it is the silence and solitude of winter, when the Meadow is oftentimes accessible only by hiking several miles, and there is only the sound of the wind. That is when I feel my soul stirred and my imagination opened. Can you feel its spirit? Photo © copyright by Ed Fuhr.
