Iceland
Black sand beaches stretch as far as the eye can see, to where banks of white clouds and fog rise. The experience is bracing. The land is barren. Desolate. There is an omnipresent reminder of the powerful volcanic forces that have repeatedly shaped this island. Photo © copyright by Ed Fuhr.
