An otter seems intrigued by me as I have been of him, perhaps because I have been laying along the shore to see eye to eye. For a minute or more, he was motionless, just like me, looking for the secrets of the universe in each other's eyes. We exchanged secrets but swore never to tell. Photo © copyright by Ed Fuhr.
