The West Fork

Denali National Park

The main Toklat River is often associated with the West/main branch area near, Divide Mountain at mile 53, drains a large, highly dynamic glacial system, creating a set of river channels that can be hard to navigate or cross. Divide Mountain (front right); Cabin Peak (mid-ground center-left) with distinct snow stripes; Mount Sheldon (far background center) and its distant snow-covered jagged white massif; and ultimately the distant Alaska range are all visible here.
