Blue Ice

The purity of the ancient blue ice is stunning; but in less than a day the waves and the salt will have destroyed it. This blue ice was likely formed hundred of years ago, maybe longer, when the weight of the snow and ice on Vatnajokull glacier forced all air out of it, causing only blue waves of light to enter.
