Sunset on Ingjaldsholl Church
Iceland
The oldest concrete church in the world, built in 1903, Ingjaldshjoll sits atop a knoll and fields of lupines, affording a grand view of the fjord Breiðafjörður and also towards the glacier, Snæfellsjokullit. In 1477 the view was enjoyed by Christopher Columbus who spent the winter here to learn of the Viking's explorations to the west. Photo © copyright by Ed Fuhr.
