Cow Parsnip - Cathedral of Summer
Denali National Park
Large, flat topped compound umbrella with thick, ridged hairy stems and its classic numerous tiny white flowers define the beautiful but toxic cow parsnip, found here on the moist hillsides below Eielsen. Standing more than 5 feet tall, the flowers do contain toxins that can be highly irritating to human skin! Photo © copyright by Ed Fuhr.
